Help Sexing Silkies and a Polish

So my only hope for a pullet is the Polish!

I was so hoping for some silkie babies one day.

I don't think the first silkie is a mix. The woman I bought them from only had silkie chickens. This one just doesn't have dark black skin. I don't mind really. The silkies were just going to be my pets anyway.

The girl I bought them from (a young teen) thought she could sex them by color. She thought the chicks that were partridge colored were boys and the black ones were girls.

I'm thinking that since her rooster was partridge and the hens were black she assumed that the chicks would be the same. I wish it was that easy!

Yeah so far I think your polish chicken is a pullet (girl). But yes that would be nice if we could sex them by color lol. You can sex them when they are first born by the top of there head and be 98% right on the size and shape. I learned this from a great polish breeder it is really cool.
So you should be happy! There are so pretty! I love the Silkies to. Even if the one might be mixed I wouldn't care either. You really can get some of your nicest chickens ever in the mixed breeds!
