Help! She okay? Is is normal to pant and act restless before first egg?

My hen is 18 1/2 weeks old. She’s been squatting for about 2 weeks now and I think today is the day! She’s acting so restless, panting and trying to arrange the nesting box endlessly. Is she okay? She came up and pecked me repeatedly like she needed something and tried to snuggle behind my back in a chair I was sitting in. She keeps kicking around and throwing stuff out of the besting box. Walking around clucking loud and I even heard the egg song. Is she okay??

Yes, my little leghorn layed her first egg last week!

She was doing the exact same thing yelling, jumping in and out of the coop.

And how long did it take?

She was actually doing it for a couple days. Thinking she needed to lay but she didn't! She would do the alarm sound to her flock and get the rest of them hyped up! But about three days later she layed her first tiny little egg. Since then she's been laying every day.
