HELP! Should I Start Lockdown A Day Early?

They do some work and then they rest for awhile before they keep going. I do understand how difficult it is to wait though, wondering if anyone is going to hatch. It doesn't seem to get any easier (maybe that's just me). Good luck and keep us posted.

Now they're for sure peeping away!! Super hard to hear, but when I video tape through one of the vent holes, you can hear them!! :D 6 are almost finished with their external pips!!

Yay ^^ be aware that they are attracted to light which is handy when you're taking them out of the incubator but don't want to lose humidity (I do it once a day for nearly dry quail chicks with someone helping me hold the incubator lid a few inches to the side and shine a flashlight there so they run over and it's fast) but also if you shine light they will start pecking at everything they can see including poop, eggshell bits and even other chicks toes and dust on their fluff!

:D UPDATE: So I started with 14 eggs, one was infertile. 12 hatched within 12 hours of each other just yesterday starting at 4pm! (They were just bursting out of those little shells!)

I have one more to go. It's fully developed but hasn't internally pipped yet (I had to candle it well after the last ones hatched and dried just to make sure I wanted to keep it in the incubator). I'm not sure if it's alive though :/ I want to do the water test possibly to find out.

My 12 little peeps are all in the brooder now and are as happy as can be!

Thank you!! They all have cute little personalities! There were some that I thought were sick or dead, but it turns out they like to sleep in weird positions. So cute! xD

Hahaha I know right?? The whole sitting/sleeping with their legs outstretched underneath of them kills me.. Every time I think "paint me like one of your French girls,"

Wait until they start writhing on the ground... No it's not a seizure... It's the start of a dust bath xD
