Help!! Should this chick be separated? Head pecking....

Just noticed tonight that this little chick looks like her head is being pecked by the other chicks. Should she be separated until it heals??

I would separate, my 3 bigger chicks started picking on the smaller ones so we separated them

Are your chicks all the same age? My first chicks contained 2 polish chicks that got their heads pecked as 6 week olds, then later as hens about once a year. I don't know why polish are always picked onin mixed flocks, but it happens. I would probably spray BluKote on the red spot and keep a can handy for a few years. If the pecking gets worse, put her in a cage within. the group so that she remainx a member of that flock. My polish always hung out with my banties.

Thanks!! They are all the same age-I thought about putting her in with my two silkie bantams so she wouldn't be totally alone. Poor girl! I'll be sure to spray her and keep my fingers crossed that it doesn't get worse. Thanks again!!

Mine are still separated one died and the other 2 are too small to be with the sex links for now.
