Long story short I have a broody chicken & gave her duck eggs. I dont remember when she was given them so not sure of their incubation date. I knew we were getting close by sneeking in a couple candlings. So this morning went to check and one had cracked its shell but didnt look like it punctured the membrane.
I peeled back some shell and its beak is out and can see some feathers. So I brought it inside and put it on a paper towel with a little warm water under a light.
I had to bring it in because mom started pecking at the egg and i didnt want her to kill it. Is there anything that i should be doing to help this one? And what should I do since i have 3 more under the hen that have tiny pips?
THANK YOU!
