I have two Rhode Islands and two Ameraucanas and all are about 17 weeks. Everyone has been acting normal except my littlest Ameraucana who hasn't been herself. She has been walking only short distances and then laying down with her feet straight out in front of her. She is panting a lot and breathing very fast. I checked for bumble foot and her feet look normal. I checked her poop for worms and it looks fine. She eats and drinks and poops. I've separated her and have her inside in a laundry basket for right now hoping to calm her down and rest. Please help I am really worried about her. :>

They can have quite a case of worms without their showing in the poop, but yours are pretty young for that. I'm afraid my guess would be a problem with her egg laying system, which there really isn't anything to be done about.

I'm kind of thinking she may just have fallen from the roost or nesting box in the coop. She is doing a little better today and she seems to be favoring one side over the other when she is laying down. She's much tinier than the others so I think she's not getting enough food especially now that she might be hurt.

Just in case my theory is wrong what other symptoms should I look for is she has issues with her reproductive system?
