Hi guys,
I’m assuming my chicken has sour crop. I tried to empty her crop and she threw up a lot. I put out water and apple cider vinegar, applesauce and yogurt, and scrambled eggs. She is in our little backyard away from the chickens in the coop. Every time she bends over to eat she throws up and walks away uninterested, she’s been drinking a lot of water but seems to come back up when she’s walking away. I syringe fed her yogurt and apple sauce but also cane back up when I put her down.
She hasn’t eaten in three days and losing a lot of weight. Any advice is much appreciated! I don’t want her to starve to death!

Sorry about your hen. Sour crop may be related to other issues, such as reproductive disorders and ascites. All of the hens I have had with sour crop have eventually died. They can have a fungal or bacterial infection in the crop, and can occur after long standing impacted crop. If a vet is available, that would be best. I would try to get your hen drinking some electrolyte water with vitamins. Do not feed whole grains, but only mushy food. Here are 2 good articles that have treatments:
