HELP! SICK DUCKLING!HELP!EMERGENCY!

Hello
I saw something strange today of My tiny duckling
He has very little growth .
But her nails are quick.
So that one of them broke down today.
I didn 't have to take the nails
But this one is dangerous and gets stuck in different places.
it seems strange to me
Would you mind if I took her nails ? Is it possible to have a disease thathas caused excessive emaciation ?
Sure...post pictures.

Great! Pellets will be very good for them, I'm glad you were able to get some :) Your duckling does have very long toenails, she will need them to be trimmed. Do you have any scissors or nail clippers? If one of her nails catches on something it may be pulled off, which would be pretty bad.
You are doing well:hugs

ok i have an old one we dont use it. i ll cut it :) thanks

Around 3-4 weeks of age you need to lower the protein %. The high protein may causes "angel wing" and leg problems. The Metzer farm web side has the calculation for your own mix. I mix chicken feed with oats. I started from 22% to 17% and later from 17% to 15%. I had no problems. Of course, I will switch back to 17% when my ducks are laying eggs.

Do you have any cornflour? If you clip your birds claws you may accidentally cut the quick(the nail's blood supply) and even if you do, the cornflour will stop the blood. The quick will look like a red line through the nail. Best of luck, it will help your little duck.
