Hello all, this is Twisty, she/he is a few months old, I just got her last week so exact age is unknown. She appeared fine last night, but today looks like crud, she is kept with chickens, when I added her to the existing flock, I added 2 of her chicken friends who I got with her at the same time from the same person. I have noticed no one even acknowledging her, let alone pecking at her, does she appear to be injured from a chicken, watching her, she appears to be sure ranching her head and neck as if she is itchy , is it possible she did it herself? If so, Why? I only have 1 other turkey, who appeared at my house as an adult, so this is my 1st poult. Any advice or ideas please help! I did separate her until I know what maybe going on

looks like she may have a slight infection not sure what or beat up. You doing a good thing by letting outside in the sun, is it possible to put her in a pen with dirt/sand so she can said bathe that way if she got lice or anything from chickens she can get rid off them, also put her in by herself with out chicks for now. If she eating or drinking?

She is eating and drinking, I can definitely give her dust to bathe. I have checked my chickens and honestly there doesn't appear to be lice.
She was likey just beat up as shes new to the flock, if shes eating and drinking that's a good sign. Let be by herself for few days she will probably be ok. shes not sneezing?

Hello Everyone! First time having turkeys and I'm at a lose with one of them. We have 4 that we hatched from eggs (June 30/ July 1) and 3 are already in the coop while the other is still in the brooder. The turkeys in the coop have 20 chickens and they are all living well together. They are almost as big as some of the chickens.

My concern is with "baby" as he/she is a lot smaller (size and weight) then the other 3. It has one eye that in the morning has crusty goop that has to be cleaned out. We have been using sterile eye drops to do this. I have taken it to the vet for not gaining weight and gotten drops for swelling and inflammation (Flurbiprofen)as these were the only things that seamed to be wrong at the time (July 6). On July 19th I call the vet and told her about the goop and crusty on the one eye, but that it had gained weight. She gave us Tobramycin to see if that would clear up. I'm waiting for a call back from the vet as there are still crust goop in the eye. Also, the area around the eye has started to look bald. I'm at a loss for what to do. I have cleaned the brooder and put fresh bedding down, fresh water and food, plus I have added the nutri-drinch directly into my baby turkey. I just use droplets (1 or 2) from the dropper (never squeeze it). Advice is great appreciated. Thank you!

I'd recommend getting Polysporin eye drops if the vet ones aren't working, also you say his in a brooder, do you mean a like a incubator a sealed box with heat? if so i'd put him outside i a pen by himself for a awhile partly shade, the air and sun will help him. Bacteria grows in hot humid environments whats why its recommended the people watch eggs before putting in a incubator, if he has a eye infection the heat and humility are just making it worse. It's a month old i'd assume its eating and drinking ok, you can get vitamin drops for its water if you want. any questions feel free to ask.

Baby is in a brooder that has the walls and floor with the light.

I will see what I can come up with for moving it to the coop area. I just don't want the lil one to get pecked and beat up by the chickens and the other turkeys.

Be good if he had a little area by himself just to preven infecting others, he doesn't need to stay out but sunlight during the day would be nice,
