I have a 3 month old rooster who is acting strangely. He is eating and drinking a little, and has normal looking poop. The problem is he is standing with his head drawn in, and sometimes even lays down and buries his head in his feathers and goes to sleep.

He has been on starter feed (good quality from feed mill) and a vitamin supplement. The only other thing that is different today is that it is very damp out and thunder storming a lot.

Advice.. Please and thanks!!

Don't worry mine is like this too.he is just stressed.I was told to wait a while and I am.He will not doe he is just trying to relax and he will not improve if he is scared.here is a pic of my baby rooster that is like this.

He kept doing what you fit in your description he keeps laying down, eating and drinking less, normal poop, buries head in feathers and sleeps.
I also reccomend making him happy like
giving him treats and playing a bit with him.
Good luck!

He is gorgeous! How is he doing? Mine is acting more normal but now he stopped crowing. I read an article that said young cockerels might stop crowing now and then until they perfect their sound... And I heard him before.. It's very cute, but very whimpy.
