Help!-Sickly Buff Orpingtons!

I think you might be under-dosing. What type of Duraymcin are you using; the 400mg or the 800mg? From what info I found on BYC, the dosage is 1 teaspoon per gallon of water for 400mg, and 2 teaspoons per gallon of water for 800mg.
No offense intended, really, but like Corid, this is where people should do some math and figure out what is what... Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that anyone is right or wrong here, just that we should all do some math rather than rely on what people have said in a forum.

Disclaimer: I have not used Duraymcin, so I have not done the math.

Yes, you can say all you would like about it, but really? This has been going on so long(Like 3 months and I really am busting my budget with these things), for me, I think they are too far gone and I am ready to give up. The labels on those things are very unhelpful and Duramyacin is almost like using Terramyacin but a little less strong. I gave them less than a gallon so they should be fine, I was planning on culling them anyway.... If this doesn't work.
(Corid is like 10 bucks for 16 oz and it does have helpful labels- don't compare this to Corid)

See! I wish they made a label for the weights like this:
Poultry:
1-3lb birds recieve blablabla per Gallon
3-6 lb birds recieve blablabla per Gallon
6+ recieve blablablabla per Gallon
Wouldn't that be more helpful? (Except measurement not blablablabla!)

Doesn't matter how much a bird weighs when it comes to mixing medicine in water, 'cause a 1 pound bird will drink less than a 100 pound bird, right? What would be helpful would be "x amount" in one US Gallon.

I only mentioned Corid because people have been advising 1/2 teaspoon/gallon of the powder and that's wrong, it should be more, but I haven't done the math on it yet, so I can't tell you how much more.

I have attended a thread where it DID matter how much the bird weighed, because you wouldn't give a chick the same level of antibiotics as a fully fledged adult, unless for Corid, because the chicks is so small it could possibly be over dosed.

I have never seen a drug labeled differently for chicks vs adults. What medication was it? Of course if you give a medication orally, from a syringe, it matters. Tell me what medicine it is and I'll look it up, and if I'm wrong, I'll apologize and thank you for correcting me.

Umm, it says Tetracycline under Duramyacin-10, and it was talking about both types on the label. I didn't fill the water all the way so hopefully it will help them...
Antibiotic dosages can be so confusing... I'd just continue doing dosing like you already are, unless someone else more experienced comes in and clears things up.

It was on a thread called "Help! Pullet is very Sick" or something like that..she had to feed it through a tube....

Yeah, I will continue treating them this way...
