I posted a thread yesterday talking about this silkie chick, but I didn't get any definite answers and she is getting worse. One person mentioned that it could be an unabsorbed yolk sac or a prolapse. She had no problems when I checked on her yesterday morning, but I noticed a redish colored sac hanging out of her vent yesterday evening. I picked her up from IFA on Saturday so she is only a few days old. Here are pictures from yesterday:

Now, the red sac doesn't seem to be as big, but her vent area is covered in a white substance. I'm not sure what. She keeps picking at it and I am really worried about her. You can't really see the red sac in the photo, but it is still there. I don;t know if I should pull it off, or not and I have no idea what is wrong or what to do. Here are pictures from today.

Okay, I cleaned the chick off and moved the brooder a little farther away from the heat lamp. The red sac is still there and she is still trying to peck it. What do I do?

I put the cupcake wrapper on her. Is there any way I can get rid of the red sac or do you know why that sac is coming out? It is just worrying.
