Frances went to the vet this afternoon. She had an xray that showed her lungs are not expanding as well as should be. When she breathes it frquently sounds as a child with ashthma sounds; wheezing. She also had a large amount of fecal matter that had not passed through her system and the vet expelled that material. Her reproductive area has a lot of tissue on xray however she laid an egg this afternoon and the vet said that could be the cause of that. After xray the next step was blood and stool for parasites. She was positvie for coccidia and bacteria clostridium. She was given oral meds and we are to continue them and hope she gets better. Thanks for all the comments. I am rather fond of this little chicken and hope she pulls through!
