Help!!sleepy chicken with diarrhea

I have a 5 month old leghorn who was perfect this morning when she woke. About 2 hours later I noticed her sitting and sleeping. Very usual for my spunky girl. I went in the run and picked her right up. She did not even care. I noticed she had a yucky poopy butt which I cleaned. She then passed several watery clear stools. She’s safe in a dog kennel but not really eating or drinking pretty lethargic. I started to treat for worms but I’m not sure she has them. Any ideas if I am on the right path? I’m treating with ivermectin.

A couple of things. What is the temperature where you keep her? At 5 months I don't think worms would be an issue yet. The first cause to check for watery poop is heat. Chickens can't sweat so they lose body heat by panting, holding wings away from body, and drinking extra water. Providing a shady place for them to hide from the sun will help with overheating. Have you checked her crop? It will give you a good guess at how much she eats. It should be full during the day. Check in the morning before she eats anything also. It should be empty. Give a list of everything you give them, feed, treats, meds. Also pics of her and any more poop.

Hi. Crop was full last night. Seemed empty today. It was not too hot yesterday. She had been eating and drinking fine. She actually seems better this morning running around and eating grass. I treated her with ivermectin last night. 4 drops on the back of her neck. I hated to treat without knowing but I was desperate. I have not treated my whole flock yet as I wanted to see if she improved. I dislike the vets here because they always want to see them and not just do a stool sample. It’s costly. They have shady areas and 4 different watering containers two that have ACV. Thank you so much for responding.

She gets meal worms with chicken scratch, bread, grass that I pick since they don’t free range, veggie scraps and fruit.

Can you take a stool sample to your vet for testing?
Do you have any photos of her?
At 5months is your White Leghorn laying eggs?

Do you provide any commercial poultry feed? If all you feed is meal worms, scratch, bread, scraps and grass - that could be part of the problem. If all your chickens are at least 16weeks of age, then provide them with layer feed or you can feed an all flock type feed. Having a complete, nutritionally balanced feed is important for the health of laying hens.
