HELP.... SO MANY chick QUESTIONS!!!

I got told to let my year old hens back into the pen with the chicks at 1-2 weeks old as mumma hen will keep them safe will this be ok?
one of m hens raised her chicks in the coop with the others around her the whole time and she protected them really well so i would think they would be fine but just keep an eye on them or add them back in at night time

So do u think I shud not of split them up yet shud I put them back in or will it upset mumma hen as she's on her own ATM?

is mother hen not with her chicks? seperating a hen with her chicks away from the flock is fine im doing that now with one to prevent any others getting broody. but like i said i let one of my others sit on her eggs and hatch them out and raise the chicks in the coop with no problem from the there hens. but you can add them back when ever as long as the mother is looking after them or wait until they no longer snuggle under mother for warmth its really up to you, what ever you feel happiest doing. chickens are pretty robust and can deal with more than we give them credit for lol

Oh yeh mumma hen is laying in eggs shud hatch in 11 days :) the others are close but in a diff pen and when chicks are here I will see what they are like yes I split them up so the others don't brood lol she hasn't come out of her coop for few days so I put food and water near her so she can eat and not go far away as I'm scared she won't eat and die lol I'm new to this chick thing so I worry too much lol I've had chickens wen I was little then I got 4 last year and they are so lovely I just dnt want anything to happen to them lol x

this is sally shes get cosy next to her feeder! they really dont eat or drink much when broody but they WILL eat enough to survive. Clarissa who hatched sally 6months ago got really poorly looking until i finally gave in and baught her eggs to hatch. She probably has come out of the coop but when u havent been there to see, they can be sneaky like that! broody hens wont poop on their eggs (usually) so a sign that she has gone for a stretch and some food is a giant poop hard to miss really! and really stinky! but they hold it in for SO long

if you are really worried try leaving her favorite treats around im sure she will scoff those down! my girls fave are grapes and raisins or raspberries

Oh my girls love veg and sunflower sees well I checked on her today and I see some poop but it's not big and not stinky ahud I be worried if she doesn't poop? She make a horrible sound when I go near her but she allows me to stroke her when I try to calm her x

Shud I make her stretch and leave the eggs for food and water? I'll take a picture of her and where she is tomoz as it's night here the other day she spent 45 mins off her eggs in the garden and now she won't move off them :( now I'm worried xx

She will poop when she really has to. Sally has been in her nesting box since this time last night and shes not gone poop yet. The sound is really normal Clarissa did that and puffed up her feathers so she was huge but let me stroke her and when the chicks hatched she was happy for me to pick them up and see them but would attack the other hens. Sally on the other hand doesnt make a noise but puffs herself up so shes twice the size and bites my hand, little madam
No need to make her move she will be eating and drinking enough to survive. Clarissa looked really unhealthy when she was broody her cone and watle shrunk and was more pinky brown than red but as soon as the chicks hatched she got back to normal. she will get off the eggs less as it gets closer to hatch day but she is probably having about half hour to an hour of the eggsa day when ur not watching :)
