Help! Something is wrong with my 5 wk old boy

Well he finally ate the majority of the coated meal worms and regular food. He was also in the pan of water turning circles and trying to stretch his neck out repeatedly. He looks like he is doing better, but still not 100%.:fl

Is he acting sleepy too? One of my girls did this for a few days, almost like her neck was sore, because she would snap it back into place whenever she tried to extend it.

I mean this in the friendliest way possible... Your pool is scary! :p You must live in a really hot area. It is so hard to get rid of green in the pool when it is hot!

I have to agree with you on the pool thing. Even if they drank a little water it doesn't look good to me. I'm in Georgia too and only about 1 1/2 hours west of Lawrenceville. I used to live there so I know exactly where it is. It's been extrememly hot here for the past few weeks and I've noticed my water buckets and kiddle pools are getting green algae in just 1 day. I scrub them all out every single night before I put the ducks to bed.

I'd say whatever you do to close up the pool try that and see if it makes a difference.

How’s you boy doing today?
He is doing great! Let them out this morning and he is eating/drinking/socializing like nothing was ever wrong.
Just out of curiosity, I remembered that the day before he got under a rose bush and his bill got a few scratches from the thorns, he bled a little and I made sure to clean him up and the bleeding stopped immediately. I know that it is possible for humans to get bacterial and/or fungal infections when messing with rose bushes. Could it be possible that he was effected by this?

I want the cooler weather back, my poor feathered babies have been panting in this heat. I go out and turn on a kiddie sprinkler for them and they love it. My four saxony's get a case of the zoomies and do this little happy dance. I should probably take video of it to share, it's hilarious.

Pool is going to get closed down soon, but I have to wait on the new cover first. The old one finally bit the dust and I was able to talk hubby into getting a new one.
