I had a Sebright rooster he was about 7 months old and one day he just could walk he would fall over and would try to walk. He was eating and drinking. I separated him from my other chickens. But he just kept getting worse so we put him out of his misery. Then My other rooster is 7 months old too was on his side and can't walk. He can sit up but wont walk. He got pecked on by the other ones while he was on his side. Could this be the same thing that my sebright rooster had?? I have no idea what is wrong with him. Please help!

Were they vaccinated for Mareks disease? That is a virus which can cause a variety of symptoms including paralysis of one or both legs or wings, twisted or paralyzed neck, curled under toes, tumors, eye changes, and a lack of immunity. Mareks is spread by dander and dust in feathers, and vaccinations are recommended for any new chickens. I have read that it is more often seen in sebright chickens, but I don't have any facts to back that up. First of all I would put some poultry vitamins in his water, and make sure that he can reach his food and water. Here is some good information to read:
