I have a two month old silkie puller who has begun limping yesterday, however since she is so small and our grass is so long, we didn’t notice until giving the girls their treats of the day. After picking her up, we found that she was bleeding pretty heavily. She is still growing feathers on here feet and legs, so I don’t know if one grew wrong or got infected or what. This is my family’s first time raising chickens, so I could really use some help on what to do.

I’ve added a few pictures of her feet. My phone ran out of battery while taking them, but I can take more tomorrow to show the injury better.

Thanks!

I think that the pinfeathers have been broken and are bleeding, don’t know the cause. Are other birds picking at it?

Not to my knowledge, I don’t think the other birds could see the blood between her toes. As I said, I don’t know much about chickens yet. The bleeding is around the root of the feather, which is a pin feather.
