My poor Hen Mary Jane has Sour Crop. We've been treating her for 7 days and it won't go down! We've tried 12 hours no food or water; then gave her water with Apple Cider. Then we tried yogurt with Probiotic powder added; we tried probiotics in her water. After 3 days it seemed slightly smaller so the next day we gave her 1 scrambled egg with yogurt but in the morning it was still full. We just finished 3 full days of giving her yeast infection tablets. This morning after 15 hours with no food or water her crop is still squishy and bloated! We are going to Cull her as she is visibly losing weight. We will bury her after she's Culled as we've gotten extra attached to her trying to save her. But we did wonder if it would be possible to eat a Chicken that has Sour Crop?

Have you been emptying her crop before you treat her?

Personally I wouldn't eat her just because I think she'd probably be really skinny and I'd be wasting my time
