HELP! swollen abdomen on 2 year old bantam hen

I have a 2 year old bantam hen and her lower abdomen is swollen. It feels squishy and heavy. She can't walk and is panting. I dont feel any hard eggs in there either. Whats wrong with her?

I don't know but I hope someone can help. I have bantams also and I love them so much.

It sounds like she may have become an internal layer.

whats an internal layer?? do you think it could be fat? I have been feeding them alot of bread lately and I mean ALOT.

well in that thread they were making it sound like it was kind of firm and its not firm at all. Its squishy, almost like its full of fluid. The feathers arnt missing either. And the skin isnt red.

I think she is just over weight. I put her on a diet about 4 days ago and she is getting a little bit skinnier and she is starting to walk again.
