I have a male hairless guinea pig who is almost 2 years of age. Over the past few weeks he has been less talkative and is eating less. Yesterday we noticed one of his top foot was bloated. I took a look at it and I was shocked. He seems to have some large scab that is making his foot puff up! I did some research and realized he might have an infection called Bumblefoot. I was wondering if anyone on here knew anything about it. Attached is a picture of his foot. We have talked to a vet but he is very nervous and we don’t really want to take him somewhere. All opinions are welcome! Thank you

Never heard of bumblefoot in a guinea pig. It is most likely he has an abscess. Soak the foot in a hot epsom salts solution, remove the scab and see if you can drain it. It is likely there is pus in there.
