HELP THERES NO AIRSAC WHEN I CANDLE MY EGG

The egg has been in our incubator 19 days and its a bantam so its supposed to hatch early. It has been rocking back and forth a ton! Today it stopped moving and we just candled there is no airsac at all! I tapped and listened and heard no sound what is wrong!? Is it dead? Should i make a hole in the airsack?

there is no air sack because it has piped into it. it may be resting up for the big hatch or it may be too tired to hatch. it is your call to help or not. some say if their too weak to hatch themself they wont be hardy chickens. i have not found this to be true. a very small pip hole to let air in and if its still alive you should be able to tell. use something cleaned and be very careful to not go deep. if alive wrap some moist not dripping warm paper towel around the egg not the air hole. put it back and wait some more.

the holes on my bantams usually start about middle ways of the egg. if it is turned wrong they are very hard to hatch. lets hope not

Make sure you don't assist unless you absolutely have to! Most babies hatch on Day 21. I'd just leave it alone in the bator for now and if it's chirping and there's a hole in the shell it can breathe, and it should be alright. Make sure you keep your humidity up! You don't want it getting shrink wrapped.

any progress? i was surprised when all my bantams hatched on day 18, but i guess the smaller the egg the less time it takes. one will get me one day and wait for the normal 21 days. lol
