HELP! Tick and flea prevention

What does everyone use on their chickens to prevent tick and flea? Besides getting guinea fowl. I will not be using DE on my flock and I don't live in the south. But where I am, we do have tick and flea come spring time. Long time chicken tenders, help a girl out ! Thank you

Plant lavender somewhere they typically walk through. Lavender is a fleabane. If your chickens are stuck in a run, plant the lavender just outside the run so they will rub the branches of the lavender reaching into the run.

It also helps to keep the grass short. If your chickens are stuck in a run, keep the nearby grass short on the lawn, and short under any bushes.

Permethrin Powder, or Spray. I treat my birds in the fall.

It's a treatment done 1-2 times a year, or as needed. Dust, or spray birds. Dust can be added to dust baths also.

No supplement is gonna prevent ticks, or Fleas on chickens.

What do you have in your dust baths?

Sand and Soil, very dry. They have several big pits that they love. It's crucial for good health.
