Please help determine gender ...they were born at Christmas...and are cochin....10 chicks in total

3rd pic looks like a pullet and 8th looks like a cockerel. 5th looks like female but is a little blurry. 100% sure that 4th is male.

I agree with the above. 4th pic looks to be a male. I think it is too early to be sure on some of the other ones.

Why did you ask if they were sleeping? And what do you mean by suspicious?

Suspicious of being a possible cockerel.

I asked if they were sleeping because chick 2 and especially chick 5, look ill. If they were just woken, maybe that could explain it.

ETA: Chick 7 looks unwell too.

Suspicious means they look like they could be cockerels.

She asked if they were sleeping because they look pretty lethargic in the photo.

Oh thanks ....should I add something to their water to help? I think they just weren't happy with being taken away from their heater
