Help to identify this excretion

I choose this category because my two year old bar rock hen 'pooped' this out yesterday. She has been laying normally and has not had a full molt. I literally was right next to her as it came out. I looks like part of her fallopian tubes. there are little bulbs on the strand of red and I took a close up of an area the best I could. Is this significant and/or serious? Thanks in advance.

It looks to me like intestinal lining. Chickens shred it every now and then and it is perfectly normal, especially if your hen is not showing signs of illness. However, it is a lot if it all came in the same poop. Hopefully someone else will post an explanation as to why there was so much shedding.

Thank you for your reply. I have had chickens for over 2 years now and don't remember reading anything about this....thanks!

That's an odd one.
If it's an intestinal shed, it's longer than I've ever seen or read about.
Not sure what to tell you, sorry, other than keep an eye on her.
