Help Trouble with newborn quail

I have read that quail need to eat and drink within 24 hours of hatch, because they are so much more active than chickens. I put a small frosting cup lid with water and another with food, in the bator, so I don't have to open it to get them out.

Sorry you lost your babies. They are real hard to hatch.

One more question, how big was the brooder? Is it possible they were too hot?

No they were probably cold the wattage on the bulb was lower than I thought. I changed the bulb to 100 watts and now it is about 88 degrees. I still have one left and it is eating and drinking.
