We have a chick in our garden. It's hiding under a huge compost pile. Since yesterday, I've tried to catch this chick. Every time it see's the dogs it runs, every time it sees a human it runs. How can I catch this chick? Would it be better to do it at night?

I caught the chick about a minute back, it's a 4-5 week old, which had bleeding under it's vent.
What could of caused this bleeding?
