Help! Urgent! Hatching gosling

Gosling trying to hatch is covered in a hard sticky substance....essentially glued together. What do I do? What is it? What caused it???
It's not the membrane, it's thick and sticky on the gosling itself...???? What do I do for him? The membrane came off with the shell? This is like thick slime, that hardened?????

sounds like egg albumen, maybe not enough humidity? Is the gosling out of the shell? If it's out of the shell just use warm water and soften it, make sure it doesn't get chilled when you do this. dry him off well and put him in a warm brooder
