I know this thread is about the eggs but -

WOW you have a ton of cool birds. I'm wondering how you got Wilbur to stay around instead of flying away?

And yeah I agree with the previous poster, if I were you, I would keep those eggs and hope they hatch and raise the babies

most of my birds would run away given the chance, even though they're tame enough to hop up onto your lap, but I hand raised Wilbur, so he thinks he's a human lol. He'd sleep in the house if I let him. Yeah he just rides around on my shoulder when I'm at home (I have to drape a towel over my shoulder though, as he gets rather messy

).

Haha! Wow, he really took to you That's so great! I am fascinated with raising different creatures whether it be birds, mammals, reptiles... I hope to try different things throughout my life. Right now it's birds ^^

Oh and yeah I did draw my profile pic It was a really quick sketch-and-color of my male silver pheasant. Thanks for your compliment! I draw as my hobby I also paint and etch glasses, make custom keychains, and more for fun and to give as gifts for others

What other birds do you have, if I may ask? I am fascinated when I see/meet people with such a diverse array of animals so I am always curious!

Birds

Wilbur the magpie,

four cream crested legbars (three hens one cock),

Sophia Maria! (must be said with an exclamation mark

) the silkie hen,

two lemon millefleur sablepoot cocks, Bilbo and M.A.T.H (master of the hens, my five year old sisters' chicken that she named lol),

8 quail: Jacob, Gerry, Lucky, Speedy, Quill, Quirky, Gonzalez and Sunny,

a grumpy peacock named Wacko,

Lampadusa the barn owl,

Romeo and his daughter Emmie, the emus,

Archimedes the dove,

Arbor the blackbird (Eurasian blackbird, not American)

Jemima, a duck that believes with all of her heart that she is a chicken,

A very nervous ring-necked pheasant,

four rescued coot chicks,

and two fledgling blue-tits.


Reptiles

Samantha the corn snake,

Toothless the beardie,

Spark and Captain the common lizards,


Amphibians

Jeremy Fisher the common frog and her four-hundred or so tadpoles,

Isaac the palmate newt,

a very fat pacman frog named Bufo (his Latin name suits him perfectly)

Fish

a catfish,

a ghost cichlid.

Mammals

a harvest mouse who goes by the name of Thumbelina,

a hedgehog, Sebastian,

a pipistrelle bat, not really my pet, but I feed it lacewings and it lives in my shed,

two French lop rabbits, Juliet and Shelly,

Insects

a male leaf insect,

Jeeves and Wooster the giant African land snails and their 800+ babies,

a female Indian stick insect,

a pair of rhino beetles,

a trio of giant prickly stick insects,

a leopard moth couple,

and Cecil, the giant centipede.

I'm probably gonna get some more animals at some point, so i'll update you if that happens

WOW that is a ton!! My dream haha... I would love to rescue animals of all kinds. Need to learn about them first of course haha. And you have a barn owl? Gosh I love owls. I enjoy many of the birds and other creatures you have listed. You are so fortunate to be able to raise (and help them in many cases!) them all

And heck yeah, let me know when you get anything new! I am super interested in keeping different animals, as long as I have the room and a good home for them, to learn about them as well. Which is why I have silver pheasants and just starting with turkeys this Summer!!

Do your birds shed feathers? I'm looking around for people interested in swapping different kinds and colors of feathers for stuff, whether it be art, things like soaps or lip balms/chapsticks (which I am just starting to make) and other practical things as well. Would you be interested in anything like that?
