help my pb golden brahma rooster is sick he has lost has apatite and i had to syringe water into him witch he drank wilingly.
he has spent the last day siting on the top perch, he keeps making a gobbing/gurgling noise which is coming from his troath, he is continously shaking his head and only recently he has got clear tiny bubbles around his eyes and his breath smells slightly..
im really worried as i currently have 50 chickens in counting and i really dont want them to catch this, i have kept him on his own in a small coop but he was in contact with the others for a day..
has anyone any suggestions as to what is causing this?
how i might cure it?
do yous think he might have something stuck in his troath?
two days before hand i lost one of my hens she was very sick and dies within two days, i never found out what was wrong with her although i suspect it was some sort of respiratory disease as she had symptoms such as:
coughing/sneezing regularly
crust around nostrils
white spots in mouth
and a very smelly breath
she lost all of her apetite and even though we gave her tylan 50 it was to no avail...
any suggestions ?
we have added no new flock members inthe last month or so and i cannot think of any other reasons..
her symptoms and the roosters arent very similar and i think they may have different diseases?!?!?!?!?!
