Hi guys, this isn't the first time this has happened with our chickens. We got our girl a full comprehensive panel and the vet called to say that everything was normal. Then why are all these levels below or above normal range?

% Monocytes 4.0 (Normal 8.0-17)
% Eosinophils 0.0 (Normal 2.0-3.0)
% Basophils 0.0 (Normal 2.0 - 4.0)
Glucose 142 (Normal 227 - 300)
Phosphorus 31 (Normal 6.2 - 7.9)
Total Protein 15.6 (Normal 3.3 - 5.5)
Globulin 13.6 (Normal 1.5 - 4.1)
Cholesterol 60 (Normal 86 - 211)

Is this normal for a chicken??

Thanks

That’s so weird! I would call them and ask - since you have a paper of direct contradictions right in front of you. Maybe there’s some medical explanation that us non-doctors don’t understand lol.

What kind of diet do your chickens eat? Do you give any supplements to your chicken? A high phosphorus and protein level might point to a kidney issue. Otherwise, I would call the vet and ask.
