Help w/ Boiling Fresh Laid Eggs

I have found if I try to boil eggs that have been in the fridge they never peel well.

Fresh, never seen the fridge, even laid that same day eggs......

Pot of hot water, lower eggs in, add salt (lots of salt like 1/8th cup for 2qts water), medium high heat while covered, as soon as the water comes to a hard boil turn off heat and let sit still in pot 13 minutes.
I do run cold water over them and as soon as they are cooled I peel.

Oh the years I fought with peeling eggs.

Vinegar splash works well.

Tried the steaming method for the first time today on very fresh eggs. I brought the water to a full boil and then put the steamer basket in with the eggs in it. Let it go 25 minutes (altitude) and the eggs peeled perfectly. I did give them an ice water bath immediately after cooking, but have always done that and still fought to peel. Glad I finally got around to trying this.

That is freaking awesome!! Glad you have found a way that works.

Especially with Easter so close.
