Help- Wart like bumps around my hens beek?

Thank you to all of you who answered and helped out. Yes I think it is Pox. I will try to get a picture today - but it looks just like the photos submitted. I will keep checking Florence's mouth.

? - I would imagine that this would make then feel a bit lethargic - correct?

I would get some Electrolyte put in the water. Sav-A-chick you can get it TSC. Oxine helps ,to to spray the coop down.

Yes it can make them feel crappy. Last year mine just had the black spots. This year the new ones had the wart looking bumps and some of them felt really bad...especially the ones that had it so bad that their legs were bumpy too. I had to hand feed one in particular some scrambled egg for a couple days until she got to where she wanted to eat on her own.

My birds got over it much faster than I expected. I threw DE (food grade) on everything! Their roosts, in nest boxes, around the yard where they dust bathe and around other parts of their coop. Over half of my flock never got any symtoms at all!!! The rest that did have pox started getting better fairly quick. Oh, I also added ACV to their water for a few days. Life is good again!!!
