HELP!!! We have a BEAR!!!

Wildlife Services are sending a trapper tomorrow AM. Electric fence is going up. They say one wire at 24" high and another at 36" high. Hopefully "Trouble" will be relocated soon...

I grew up in Minneapolis, an almost moved to Sparta a couple years ago for my hubby's job. The realtor we talked to said he had bears all the time and had to use electric fence around his dog kennel to keep them away. Those Wisconsin bears are something else!

Hang a couple of pieces of bacon on the fence once it's up. You want his first experience with the fence to be on a tender part of his body. Understand that he may mess up the wire on this first encounter, but there should be no others.

bleach water ! that only works for a little while ! the other one they use is undiluted amonia BUT again it temporary! elecric fence or shooting it is the only solution. a relocated bear will be back in aprox. 3- 6 weeks depending how far they take it. we have MANY bear around here, a nearby boyscout racnch keeps the incredibly thick steal trach binns chaind with heavy chains and kept in concreat bunkers and that does not keep them out they peel them open like sardine cans ! may parents have used the bleach solution and tried the amonia but if it rains

when they get used to the smell it nolonger works

Please don't go out to the barn at night. If it attacks you, you will lose. Let the pro's take care of it. It's better to lose a chicken then to lose you.

I love bears I think they are beautiful but this one is getting a little to close for comfort.
