My grand-suede roo which I once thought was a female... Sorry Cynthia, I happen to have a female and a Roo after all from Buster... and he is acting off.
I at first thought he was getting picked on by some others--a couple missing feathers at lower back/base of tail-- so I put him in another pen. Some how he made his way back over to the original pen. When I went out today and realized I moved him back but then realized he could not walk ok. His right leg seemed hurt or something and I felt and looked for wounds but see none. I thought maybe he jumped this area of the fence that is collapsed from the top and got hurt? I'm not certain how he got back in the other pen.
I pulled his leg out and he retracted it back in with great strength pulling against me yet set him down and he veers to the right. Then I noticed a twitch in his head that goes forward and to the right as well every 30 or so seconds.
I set him down in front of food and water and he pecks slightly. His tail seems to be up and he sits there and closes his eyes some like he'd like to take a nap but some hens come over and peck food by him so he opens his eyes and watches them.
I have never given shots or done a worming program and he is almost a year old and very handsome and I was planning on breeding him. What do you think is going on? What should I do???
Thank you all for any time in this matter.
