Oh didn’t knew hens layed while they molted had a Orpington molt like 5 weeks ago and didn’t lay while molting and is now back to layingIs it a soft egg? If she is molting then that can happen. Several of my girls laid one or two soft eggs while molting.
I've found that BSFL are AMAZING for molting chickens. And helped my hens a lot.
I use value grubs brand from amazon. 22$ for a four pound bag.
Some hens will stop laying during molt. But not all of them.Oh didn’t knew hens layed while they molted had a Orpington molt like 5 weeks ago and didn’t lay while molting and is now back to laying
Yeah they can sometimes but not always. I mostly had just small eggs, no eggs, or shell less eggs when mine molted this year.Oh didn’t knew hens layed while they molted had a Orpington molt like 5 weeks ago and didn’t lay while molting and is now back to laying
