Help weird egg

So this morning my 8m blue Australorp laid this egg. The shell was softer than usual and cracked easily and this was on the inside. The shell was a bit wrinkled on the top.
What could it be? She seems fine besides a case of bumble foot we are currently treating.

That looks like lash material. Pull it out and cut it open and see what it looks like. Usually lash material will come out on it's own but it looks like this one got incorporated into the egg.

Take heart, unless it's a recurring issue, your hen should be okay. "Lash egg" is the common name for salpingitis, a non-specific infection. Most hens fight it off and go on their merry way. You may want to offer a multivitamin for a bit, just to make sure her body has what it needs to fight whatever infection caused this in the first place.
