Help...What breed am I?

my husband brought home a large dark brown egg. He didnt know anything about it. Kids wanted to try and hatch and we have a very spoiled, sweet loving little girl. she is 14 weeks old.

How dark brown was the egg? The colors look sort of like a Black Copper Marans... but the photos don't show a really good picture of the comb. And that is quite a bit more "copper" around the neck than most of the BCM I have seen...

How old is it?

the egg was a dark chocolate color. and without looking at the calendar she is roughly 14 weeks

Looks like a black copper maran to me!

looks like a black copper marans but the legs are the wrong color...it could also be a blk sex link pullet

Has to be a marans, a black sexlink would have come from a light brown/beige egg.

And shouldn't the pupils be bigger for Marans?

a black sex link can come from any color egg, My black sex link came from a white egg and lays dark brown eggs, her father was a Partridge pendensenca
