I have I disagree. This bird has a game bird-like comb, whereas RIR's have rose combs and single combs. Also, his coloring his wrong for a Rhode Island Red. He has the wrong body shape as well.

He's not a Rhode Island Red.

I agree, too small and the color is not right. I've had RIR roo's for years, the one in my avatar is a hatchery RIR. Not a great pic I know but he's a much bigger bird, especially if you took his pic next to his hens like the OP posted of theirs. And his coloring is more uniformly dark red, no gold in the hackles.

If you are referring to the colorful one- he looks like a copper head maran

I think he's a mixed breed. He looks like he has some sort of modified pea comb, not the dubbed comb of the Game birds. Maybe a Game x Easter-egger or something similar?

ETA: Definitely not Rhode Island red or Black Copper Marans - wrong comb for either of them.
