what color is this silkie and what's required for show quality does he look show able? He has blue feathers in his tail!

I don't recognize the color variety. However, I'm not a Silkie expert. He may be a mix of several color varieties.

What does penciled mean?

Penciled usually refers to a color in which the feathers have a pattern on them. The pattern is made up of lines that form a sort of lacing. This is a photo of a feather with penciling:

Basically, it's a border surrounding the inner portion of the feather.
