Did the paralysis come on gradually, or all of sudden?

Has she ever laid an egg?

unknown about the egg...this group is just starting to lay eggs....I did find one in the coop the day I found her.... as far as I know this was a sudden thing....

One cause, although not common, of paralysis in hens is egg binding.

"In cases where the egg is stuck in the pelvic canal, hens may suddenly appear lame on one leg which may progress to full paralysis. This is caused by compression of the ischiatic nerve."
