My husband said my EE was acting a little off today. Just pulled her of the roost to see this white stuff at her vent. It looks like cottage cheese and is a little bit funky smelling. What is this?

I am trying to upload a photo, but having issues with my computer. Will post as soon add I can. In the meantime, any ideas? I am going to give her some NutriDrench. Help!

How quickly do I need to act on this? I don't have any access to the medicine tonight and hope my vet has it tomorrow. I gave her some Nutridrench to help (if it can help). Will I wake up to a dead bird tomorrow? She just seems like she is a bit "off" right now.

Were you able to read the article that I posted. It gives great interventions that you can do to help the chicken before seeing the vet tomorrow. You can bathe her in a warm Epsom salt bath which will help soothe the irritation. Use cream for athletes foot and put acv with the mother in her water. Keep us posted how she does.

Thanks, Chicapee. I was afraid if we got to this point that was what I needed to do. This is my first time with this issue. I will give her a bath with Epsom salts and add ACV to the water. I normally give that in their water, but I was on vacation and stopped using it for several weeks. Ughh.

Thanks for talking this Henny Penny of the ledge!!!!!

No problem. Keep us posted and I hope she gets better soon. She is probably pretty uncomfortable.
