Help what sex is this

hey all... I have a light sussex since we had her/him we thought was a a hen but now we have no idea. Hubby went to let them out this morning and she/he started trying to crow... age is 9 weeks. pictures below. also to be 100% is the chicken a deffo light sussex?

Hadn't heard of them before now, so have only just what I've gathered with a quick websearch with regards to knowledge of them - but it does look like a strong possibility.

I had a look through the feathers and saw its got brown coming into them. I'm so confused now

Cockerel, not sure about breed. Might be a mix.
