Princess, I'm so glad that you are up and running with babies. I can't stand for critters to die and to do so on my watch is just gut wrenching. So glad you're doing well. Pics when ya can sweetie!!!

I always helped but mine have been under broody's and not in a bator I just can't stand by and not help, I had to help out a little one this morning who prob pipped during the night since he was rocking last night under mom when I checked on her and her babies who hatched monday. I checked on them this morning and she had moved the four behind the nest box prob because a little one decided to explore and got"lost" and she went to him and left the eggs and his egg was cool to the touch but he would peep and mom was in distress so I took him in the house and helped him out a bit he was cold and tired so I'm glad I helped now he's with mom and all 5 are snuggled up under her wings.

You need to raise the humidity when hatch after 18 day ,lo humidity the chick can't break the egg shell.
My incubator set for 45-to 55 humid and after 18 day 65 to 70.
Hope next time you get good luck

Thanks but if you read above she is already out and doing fabulously! My humidity has beenperfect for all days with 1-18 being 45% and 18-hatch being 65%! Temps were perfectoo! There was no actual reason why she couldn't get out! After slow and careful assistance she is beautiful!
