I hope mine is too, I plane on putting them in with my Silkies I just got this winter and the 2 I got with these girls ( I hope ) So wont have to worry about the big girls picking on them. you don't think they will be smaller then my Silkies when full grown do ya? I have nothing to compare the pic's I have seen. and just knowing the weight don't tell me anything... lol not good with that at all... I'm trying to keep my pens size compatible if ya know what I mean.Yea that is always a plus lol. Ours was very mild natured, actually got picked on quite a bit. But they are supposed to have big personalities in a little body. Ours liked people more then the other chickens though because of hers lol so I suppose you can't always go by the average for the breed. Good luck with your babies!
Thats what I'm hoping for, still trying to figure out what the little gray chick is?? oh well... I'm glad the size difference aint huge, I was worried about that.Oh i know what ya mean. my hubby is in the process of building me a smaller coop so that I can re-house my silkies and his olde english game bantams in that and keep my larger 15 LF chicken coop for my EE and Ameraucana chickens. My golden sebright hen was smaller then my average silky hen. with the exception of one of my little silky hens that is a runt lol. Im not talking a huge crazy difference, but there is a difference. they are more slender too in my opinion. obviously silkies are rather poofy though : ) . your silky flock should do well with Her (maybe that'll give u a little extra luck)lol.Because silkies are normally a very docile breed.
