Noticed this on one of our girls 3 days ago. The picture was taken yesterday after I cleaned up her bottom with an epsom salt solution. She had a little bit of droppings stuck on the feathers below the vent but nothing major. As far as I know her stools have been normal. Her vent did have a mildly unpleasant smell before I cleaned her up but I'm thinking that was just the poop stuck on. She feels a little dry and chapped around the vent and there is redness in the area (not drastic) but the main concern is the white bumps you can see. She is our rooster's most favored hen, if that matters. The feather loss you can see to the left is because of him.
So are these where feathers are coming out? I didn't think so because some of the bumps are right up there almost in the vent. I browsed around the forum for a while when I found her like this and didn't find anything that seemed to fit the description. Any help appreciated. She is also eating/drinking normally and otherwise acting unsuspicious.
