I just bought a janoel24 incubator of a lady that hatches poultry and she said that she has hatched 3 batches out of it and that she has set the settings perfectly and that I shouldn’t change them. The incubator was set to 38°C but I decided to put in 2 other thermometers just to make sure, both of the thermometers I put in showed it was over 40°C so I changed the incubator temp to 37°C and my thermometers are saying it’s around 39°C. The lady said that the incubator was set to the perfect temp and had a 90% hatch rate each hatch but I’m worried it’s too hot. The first pic is the incubator thermometer and the last 2 are the extra ones, I took the pics at the same time one after another. P.S. the temp is always steady, no fluctuations

The lady said that i should trust the factory settings and that she has actually hatched 10 batches with is set at 38°C, but im still not fully convinced

The only thermometer that I would trust remotely is no. 3 but even so unless it has been calibrated properly it is very hard to tell. Best to stay on the cooler side than too hot. If you can get a thermometer that agrees with say, a medical one, then trust that. If you are a little cool, the hatch may take longer. If you are way too hot, the hatch may not happen at all. If you are only a little too hot, the hatch will happen earlier.
