Aww she's lovely and good looking egg too. Looks to me that what your seeing is just her mating stance so nothing at all to worry about.

That does look about right for the "position": neck straight out, back flat, wings slightly down and out from the body, tail up. Nothing to worry about!

And congrats on her first egg!! I'm still waiting for my first eggs (my two girls are 5 and 7 months old, but we're in the middle of winter right now).

I'm so pleased she's 'normal'! Was a bit worried for a while. We got another egg this morning too, I'm so eggs-cited!!! Do they not lay in winter?? (we are in summer)

Some ducks lay year round with only taking a couple weeks break off and on. Just keep feeding a good quality feed and plenty of fresh veggies and you should get eggs for many years. We're all happy she is very normal too.
