Help - why is this swelling?

@New duck mommy 2021 Aww, I'm so sorry! That is heartbreaking :(! What a long road for you and your sweet girl. Doesn't it seem like we need better poultry vets out there? Prior to getting ducks I read in a book that ducks are actually heartier and less prone to illness than chickens. I have not found that to be the case. I started with 6 ducks almost four years ago and only have two of that bunch left, one who I keep expecting to die at any moment because she's a pekin and just moving so slowly, I feel something is wrong. My girls have had one thing after another, and the times I've gone to the vet with them it feels like the vets are just guessing and trying one thing after another, while I rack up the bills. As you know it really adds up quick! I've learned way more about duck medical issues and medical care than I ever wanted to. I'll say a prayer for your sweet duck -what's her name?

Thank you. Yes a lot of guessing with vets. I am learning a ton myself
Her name is dasher
My grandson named the egg when candling and then she hatched 1 day early and landed on Xmas day. How perfect was that
It was my first set of eggs I incubated
She is from my pekin girl and khaki boy
I took a chance tonight and when her urethra came out with the big gleet I got sone off then sprayed it with silver
Haven’t tried to spray it directly yet usually just the outside
She goes back to the vet Thursday

An update - I was able to get my duck into a vet due to a cancellation. He said he could tell by looking it wasn't bumblefoot. He did an X-ray which shoed a lot of joint imflamation, but no broken bones. We did bloodwork but that's not back yet. Basically, he doesn't really know what's going on, but sent me home with an antibiotic and pain meds and said she's in great shape otherwise. So wait and see.

Hopefully this works and blood work shows she is all good
Thanks for the update :)
