Help! Wife won't let me have chickens

I've recently gotten married and moved out to my own house. But now my wife has just informed me that I can't have any chickens! She said she doesn't eat eggs so we don't need any. All I wanted was two or three in a small coop and run in the back yard. Just hens so no rooster crowing or anything like that. What's her problem? Lol any suggestions on how to talk her into it? I've always been around chickens since I was little.

You could get a breed that only lays one a week such as Japanese bantams. I am vegan and never eat eggs and I have three bantams and I give my eggs away or just make something with them to give to my chickens. If you get a small breed you will also hardly have to pay anything to feed them. Good luck!

Thanks! I'll keep working on her. I had some beautiful Japanese bantams when I was younger I miss them they were sooo pretty
